01 / Growing up with the game
A season to remember.
I played soccer throughout my childhood. In my junior year of high school, we won the state championship, and I was named an all-state player.
That season is one of the moments from my earlier life that shaped me.
02 / A different path
From UT Austin
to building full time.
I went to The University of Texas at Austin. I eventually dropped out to build the Jacob Bar business full time.
It was a turning point: leaving college to give the business my full attention.
03 / Finding something to build
Building Jacob.
My own health journey is part of the story that led me here.
I started working on making the protein bar aisle a healthier place to shop in September 2023. In May 2024, I launched Jacob: the world's cleanest protein bar.
It is the biggest thing I've ever attempted to build, and the thing teaching me the most about work, people, taste, mistakes, and what it means to care.
Go see Jacob04 / How I think
Less consumption.
More creation.
If all I ever do is consume, I don't feel fulfilled. Making things is how I feel like I own my life. This website is part of that.
05 / Outside the work
More of life.
Reading. Climbing. Training. Going outside. Trying to understand how I want to live.
I want to write more, document more, and get clearer about what I think by forcing myself to put it into words.
